Dr. McCann is a dedicated Chiropractor and Medical Acupuncture provider at PinPoint Health – Newmarket, proudly serving patients throughout Newmarket and York Region. With a strong foundation in movement science and patient-centered care, Dr. McCann focuses on helping individuals improve function, manage pain, and support long-term wellness.
Dr. McCann earned her Bachelor of Kinesiology from Queen’s University and completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 2014. She later expanded her clinical expertise by completing Medical Acupuncture training through McMaster University, allowing her to integrate acupuncture into comprehensive treatment plans.
Having lived in the Newmarket area for over 25 years, Dr. McCann is deeply connected to the community. After operating her own chiropractic practice in York Region, she made the decision to step away from business ownership and refocus her career on direct patient care and family life. In 2025, she joined the PinPoint Health team, where she continues to provide thoughtful, individualized care in a collaborative clinical environment.
Dr. McCann has been actively involved in the community, including participation with the Wellness 360 Team at Southlake Regional Health Centre, the York Harmony Chorus, and the Newmarket Board Gamers Group.
Her personal journey has shaped a deep sense of empathy and resilience. Born in South Africa and raised in Canada, Dr. McCann has overcome significant health challenges, including Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and breast cancer, experiences that have strengthened her commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care. She is a proud mother to a young daughter and is expecting her second child in early 2026.
