On July 2020, PinPoint Health completed the acquisition of Active Health Centre in Markham to mark its sixth clinic operation. This clinic has deep roots in the Markham community dating back to 1979, when Dr. John DeFinney, Chiropractor, started the clinic, which was originally located on Wooten Way. The current operation is located at 254 Main Street Markham North.
The clinic was being run by Dr. Mike Poschar, Chiropractor, who will stay onboard to act as the clinic director going forward. The current service offerings include, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Physical Therapy, Concussion Management, Sport Injury Management, and Custom Knee Braces.
This clinic has and will continue to serve the key communities of Markham Main Street, Unionville, Scarborough, Raymerville-Markham East, Quantztown Village, Locust Hill, Mt Joy, Wismer Commons, and Greensborough. It is located minutes from Markham Stouffville Hospital.
The clinic will be branded going forward with a PinPoint Health affiliate title of PinPoint/ Active Health Markham. The Active Health Centre brand in Markham has been a staple and carries with it so much goodwill that there is a massive advantage to the cobranding.
This acquisition is also the first since the COVID-19 Pandemic and represents PinPoint Health’s objective of continued growth.
